Please Note: Mobile petting zoo is limited with Covid and the home farm being open. More ability for setups are available during our off season. Please inquire.
Goat Snuggling (By Appointment ONLY)
Snuggle with our baby goats! This is a unique and personal experience with our baby goats and their mothers.
What you need to know:
- Please come dressed for the weather, and wear footwear appropriate for a farm (it can get muddy/wet/slushy). Goat snuggling is in the barn, which can be chilly. Visiting with the other farm animals is outside.
- Parking is in the yard (behind the house). Laneway is one-way traffic. Please do not pull off our lane.
- There are no bathroom facilities in the winter (reopens in March).
- The playground is closed in the winter.
If you need to cancel your session, please let Farmer Ruth know as soon as possible.
Details:
- By appointment only, sessions must be booked in advance.
- Sessions available daily between 11 am and 3 pm.
- Your one-hour booking includes 50 minutes with the goats.
- Cost is $100/session, and includes up to five people.
- Before or after your visit, you are welcome to visit the other animals on the farm. Feed is available for purchase.
- Meet in front of the barn just prior to your goat snuggling session.
- Cash only please.
Animals for Sale
Want to take one of our cute critters home with you? We sell a variety of small animals, including:
- Rabbits (breeds include Lionhead, Holland Lops, Lion Lops, Mini Rex, and Netherland Dwarfs)
- Guinea pigs (breeds include American Smooth, Frizzle, Crested, Teddy, Abyssinian, Coronet, Silky, Texel, Peruvian, and Texel)
- Assorted chicks and ducklings (during spring and summer)
- Miniature donkeys and pygmy goats (when available)

What Others Have Loved About The Barnyard Zoo
Great place for kids , loads of animals and the owners are super friendly. Its expensive to keep animals, but the admission here is a bit pricey. $10 a head, with no price break, or grouping discount for families. Otherwise its a great place to educate kids old and young alike. 🙂

We are incredibly grateful to Farmer Ruth for generously providing us with duck eggs to hatch ducklings. This wonderful experience has been educational and joyful for our family. We had 7 beautiful ducklings, each with their own unique character to enjoy, care for, and play with for 10 days before ducklings returned to their big farm family. The process of watching the ducklings hatch and grow has been a unique and memorable learning opportunity that we will cherish for a long time. Thank you, Farmer Ruth, for bringing such a delightful experience into our lives. Ruth's genuine dedication and hard work shows everywhere as soon as you step into the farm.
